    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for this opportunity. I wish to support the vetting of Judges and Magistrates (Amendment) Bill. When the process of vetting commenced in this country, it actually instilled confidence to the consumers of justice. What subsequently happened is that we saw very many cases being taken to court by those who had actually been vetted. As a result, it appeared like the process of vetting had actually lost direction. But most importantly, whenever you wish or subject people to vetting, it is important that the process takes place as fast as possible. This is because if there are Magistrates who today deserve to be promoted but cannot get those promotions because of the fact that they have not been vetted then that is quite unfair."
