    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank my colleagues for supporting this Bill. Indeed, this amendment Bill has generated a lot of interest. As you are aware, I moved this Bill last Wednesday and we started debating it. We continued yesterday and today, and I am now replying. I thank my colleagues again for supporting it. A university is a national institution. When we request for establishment of a university in each county, we also request that the university should reflect the face of Kenya. By that I mean, if we establish a university in Laikipia, students from Wajir or Homa Bay counties can be admitted to that university now that we have the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) and the normal process that used to be there. I am also requesting that the same is reflected in the recruitment of staff and personnel. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
