    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I want to support this Bill because it is long overdue. It will modernise the old Act which was borrowed from the UK Companies Act of 1948. The Bill will strengthen the corporate governance framework. If you look at it, you will find that it regulates directors’ conduct and we know at times directors may assume other responsibilities.
