    "content": "Hon. Senators, it is my pleasure, therefore, and honour to invite each one of you to the two conferences. The CWP is expected to attract more than 100 participants from the Commonwealth countries in Africa, Government officials and civil society organisations. Her Excellency the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya has been invited and has graciously accepted to officially open this Conference on Friday, 7th August, 2015. All Senators, especially women Senators, are encouraged to attend. The following week, Tuesday, 11th August, 2015, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya will officially open the second and main Conference where over 400 delegates are expected to attend. Hon. Senators, as you may be aware, the CPA has been the voice of parliamentary democracy across the Commonwealth for more than nine decades. The CPA also develops, promotes and supports parliamentarians and their staff to identify benchmarks of good governance and the implementation of enduring values of the Commonwealth and, the membership of African countries to the Commonwealth has been increasing. It is, therefore, an honour for Kenya to be the host of the two events this year. These two conferences come at a time when the country is positioning itself as the preferred conference tourism destination. The Conference will, therefore, go a long way in enhancing that aspiration in addition to advancing the objectives of the Commonwealth family of nations. I hope that each one of us will take an interest in the said events and will endevour to interact, network and share experiences with colleagues from other jurisdictions. I thank you."
