    "content": "This is the time when people are doing their top dressing and working very hard in the farms. Elections are not about the day of elections but it is a period. You want to give Kenyans a chance to listen to their leaders and listen to those who are campaigning but, if they are busy in the farms or busy doing other things that will interfere with their capacity to concentrate on the campaigns and that will undermine their choice. That also interferes with the way they are going to make those choices. That is why elections in December, when people have just harvested and are preparing for Christmas, is a better time for people to concentrate in listening to what politicians want to say."
