Deputy Speaker, if you look at the mandate of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology, you will find that in as much as it advances issues of education, the matter referred to the Committee is not a matter of education but a matter of discrimination on religious grounds. It does not follow how that issue, which is one of the issues my Committee is dealing with, has been forwarded to the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology. Discrimination can take place in a school, hospital or a place of work. If it takes place at the airport, is it a matter that goes to the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing? It is not a transport issue. This is not an education issue but a matter of religious discrimination. I urge the Clerks, through your office, to forward the right issues to the right committees."
