    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to respond to hon. Konchella’s concern. Indeed the KKV II is forging ahead in enhancing the skills of the young people. There is a very specific component on KKV II that focuses on skills build-up. Let the Member not forget that we also have, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, polytechnics. We have been training young people throughout the Republic and they have been doing a fairly good job in enhancing some of the skills of our young men and women. At the same time, they have also been supported under the Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF). Women have been catered for under the Women Enterprise Development Fund (WEDF). These funds are still running and they provide modest or cheap credit to young men and women out there. Indeed, surprisingly, you will find that in some areas, the draw down on either the YEDF or the WEDF has been very slow and in some areas, it has been very fast. That means a lot of work will need to be done to encourage them to use those facilities."
