    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. From the outset, I want to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues who contributed immensely to the Excise Duty Bill this afternoon. It is a very important Bill. It touches on spirits, the tobacco industry and provisions that will help Kenyans who have diabetes. The most important thing is that the provision of this Bill is to consolidate the imposition and collection of excise duty into one major, separate law called the Excise Duty Act. This, as I have said earlier, is in line with the East African Community Customs Management Act (EACMA).
