    "content": "As Members of Parliament, there are many ways we can undertake the work of a parliamentarian in terms of what we call parliamentary proceedings. This can be done through speech as I am doing. At the same time, it can be done through voting where we debate then at the end of it we are required to vote. At the same time, it can be done through presenting a Motion to the House. It could also be done by having petitions. It could also be done through participation in committees. You realize that since we represent the people of Kenya, this Bill is trying to ensure that, as Members of Parliament, we cannot be sued neither can we sue as we undertake this important national responsibility. That is why I want to appreciate Hon. Keynan for spearheading this process. We must appreciate, as Members of Parliament, that Hon. Keynan has done a lot of work to ensure that the welfare of Members of Parliament is taken care of. This is one of the many things he has done. You must appreciate the effort which has gone into preparation of this Bill."
