"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, this is a very clear matter. I participated in the CBK Act in the last Parliament. It was very clear in that Act that the CBK being a national function, vetting was to be done by the National Assembly. Those are parts of the lacuna we are trying to clear because in the Act, it says Parliament. That is why you saw after the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade led by this very able Chair and his Members vetted the current CBK Governor, there was a lot of noise out there to the effect that we have not been consulted. We now want to correct that and say that the CBK Governor and the Board members are appointed through competitive process but---"
