    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, if indeed what Hon. Gethenji is saying is what the Committee was thinking to do, that is, removing the jurisdiction from judges and instead giving it to magistrates, I will be opposing that amendment. I would be opposing it because the authority that has been sought is asking people to enter premises by force, which is a violation of peoples’ right to property. We do not want that jurisdiction to be given to magistrates. That would be too huge a role. Given that this Bill is supposed to give effect to the Ottawa Convention on Anti-Personnel Mines, that would be too huge a task. I will be opposing that amendment. I thank you."
