Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 25 of the Bill be amended in sub-clause (1) by deleting the words “by or before which a person is convicted of an offence under this Act may by order declare” and substituting therefor the words “may order”’. Again, this is one of those rephrasing, redrafting semantic amendments. All it does is to seek clarity by redrafting sub-clause 1, for better flow of the Bill, not really changing the content."
