The last one is the amendment on cigarettes which comes to this House year in, year out. It is a battle between cigarette manufacturers. The multi-nationals, with the help of the national Treasury, wish to kill the local industry. We cannot allow them. This country must be in the business of creating and supporting local industries. Whatever happens in the national Treasury with this cigarette amendment, I do not know. I wish the Leader of the Majority Party would one day call a Kamukunji where those mandarins can come and explain. I was in the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade for 10 years, I know what happens. I want to thank the Chairperson and members of the Committee for discovering that the mandarins and the National Treasury are trying to run a Government within a Government. It is killing our people. Therefore, I support you one thousand times. Thank you."
