    "content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I thank the Chairperson of the Committee for the detailed response and for the data that has been laid on the Table of this House. One of the questions that I sought a clarification on was the status of the new generation IDs project. I did not ask about the budgetary allocation but the status and update on this project. If we are not careful about this project, it might end up being like the Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) issue that confronted this nation prior to the last general election where Kenyans were confronted with a new technological identification solution and given very limited time to register. That disenfranchised voters from certain parts of this country. It is important that this Senate and Parliament as a whole has its fingertips on the progress of this project.
