    "content": "I, therefore, request if the Committee could go back and just provide this House with an update on that project. There is a body established by an Act of Parliament called the Kenya Citizens and Foreign Nationals Management Service. It updated the nation sometime last year that in February of this year, Kenyans would be expected to take new generation IDs. If this body has not been given any budgetary allocation for this financial year, we do not want a situation where they are given it close to the next election so that they can do tendering that is rife with corruption and end up registering people from only certain parts of this nation yet we all know that the ID is the first step towards getting a voter’s card. I, therefore, beg that the Chairperson of the Committee goes back and give us much more detailed update on this project."
