Members, you will recall that on Thursday, 6th August 2015, the National Assembly rejected the said Bill at Second Reading thereby causing the Speakers to invoke the provisions of Article 112(2)(b) of the Constitution. Subsequently, four Members were appointed to represent the National Assembly in the Mediation Committee. The Committee is requested to immediately commence the process of developing an agreed version of the said Bill with a view of finalizing it within 30 days as required under Article 113(3) of the Constitution."
