Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 48 of the Bill be amended by— (a) deleting sub-clause (3) and substituting therefor the following new sub- clause− “(3) A person who contravenes subsection (2) commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty thousand shillings or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding three years or to both in respect of industrial fishing, or to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand shillings or a term of imprisonment not exceeding six months, or to both.”; (b) inserting the following new sub-clause immediately after sub-clause (3)− The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
