Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 57 of the Bill be amended in sub-clause (1) by inserting the following new words immediately after the word “prescribed” – “and the approval shall only be given upon production of an Environmental Impact Assessment report on the effect of each introduction.” We intend to make the following amendment for this purpose; the different species of fish which are being introduced in our waters could have a possibility of predating on other species within those waters. The species breeding in our water must be protected and the environmental impact assessment must also be done before we introduce fish to such areas."
