We are setting a bad precedent because by the time the students were allowed to enter the Public Gallery, there must be somebody who was notified about them. You are setting a bad precedent by saying that you acknowledge their presence because it has been brought to your attention by one of us. There is a specific Senator who represents them. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, we met the students at about 1.00 p.m. For their own pride, and the pride of the Senate, we must recognise them specifically."
