"content": "You have availed me this opportunity at a very opportune moment, indeed; 19 days from today, we will hold elections. Probably a week or so thereafter, I will leave office after completing my second term in office as stipulated in the Tanzanian Constitution. So, to me, this is an opportunity to bid farewell to this distinguished House, and through you, to my brothers and sisters, the people of the Republic of Kenya. When His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta invited me to visit his great country, I did not hesitate to accept his invitation because of the importance Tanza/Kenya has in Tanzania’s foreign policy. Kenya holds a special and very important place in our foreign policy."
