Given that the right to demonstrate is a fundamental right for which we have fought so hard, it is unfortunate that those who did not feel the full weight of police action in the period leading to this new dispensation, like the Assistant Minister, do not seem to appreciate it. Now that you have confirmed the issues they were demonstrating against are being addressed, could you also have the humility to publicly apologize to them for the conduct of the police officers?"
