"content": "That will help us appreciate that Article 34 of the Constitution on freedom of the media, and more specifically to appreciate Article 34(2) of the Constitution which states:- “The State shall not – (a) exercise control over or interfere with any person engaged in broadcasting, the production or circulation of any publication or the dissemination of information by any medium; or (b) penalise any person for any opinion or view or the content of any broadcast, publication or dissemination.” In all fairness, the issues that have been raised by the hon. Members who have spoken are weighty enough and are of a constitutional nature. These are the matters that it is only fair that this House gives itself sufficient time to consider or reconsider.
