Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 20 of the Bill be amended— (a) in sub clause (1), by deleting the words “,and may order the property of the witness, or any part thereof to be attached and sold for the purpose of satisfying all costs of such attachment together with the amount of the said fine, if any”. (b) by deleting sub clause (2) and substituting therefor the following clause— “(2) A person may pay the fine under subsection (1) to the Clerk of the relevant House.” The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
