When you give powers of a police officer to an officer within the precincts of Parliament under the orders of the Speaker, it is very dangerous because we already have Serjeant-at-Arms and the police within the precincts of Parliament. Therefore, having this unilateral definition is only going to cause chaos and may actually subject Members to harassment. I oppose the amendment."
