    "content": "Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. As a person who is well versed with the security of this country and what the security arms of this county do, this is a bad law. We know the purpose of establishing parliamentary security officers. Within the precincts of Parliament, we have uniformed police officers from the National Police Service. Clearly, there is separation of roles on what they are supposed to do. If the parliamentary security staff behave as if they are police officers or are empowered to carry out the role of police officers, then we are changing the law of this land through the back door. It will be a bad law and, therefore, we are trying to debate in vain. I oppose the amendment."
