"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, when I read the statement, not withstanding---. Saying “license” was a slip of the tongue. I wanted to say that they had not notified the police. Equally, I am not aware about the women who are said to have demonstrated here and whether they had notified the police or not. Secondly, the ICC matter is not for me to deal with. I understand the matter is already in court. Therefore, it is not proper for us to discuss it in the House. As to what has been asked by Sen. Billow, I am not aware also that there is selective application of how people conduct demonstrations. The requirement of the law is for the people to inform the police. If police are informed, unless there is any special reason, people cannot be denied the right to demonstrate. Regarding the question by Sen. Murkomen, that is totally a new question which I am not prepared to answer. He can put a question and it will be answered appropriately."
