    "content": "As a Committee, we agree with this proposal by the Senate. This is simply because it protects the property of Kenyans. The amendment seeks to ensure that, in the exercise of the powers of the Director of Mines, if there is any damage done to properties and assets, there is need for compensation for that damage, and it should be as fair as possible. We felt that it was protective of Kenyans and we agreed with that amendment."
