"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I need some clarification. I can see in this Senate Amendment that they are talking about “amongst the governors”. In other words they are proposing that an elected member sits on a board. I do not think that is within our constitutional requirement. That goes against the Constitution. Once you are elected, you are not supposed to hold any other State office. Naturally, even to be elected, you should first resign from any other State appointment before you take over an elective post."
