    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, there was a lot of controversy surrounding this particular suggestion. It is necessary to have the Chairman of the National Land Commission on this board because he is the one who is supposed to oversee the management of public land and sometimes minerals. These are national Government assets and therefore, somebody like that must be there. That one is very important. But the issue I had already decided on is the issue of governors. The person who was removed was the Permanent Secretary (PS) in charge of Ministry of Devolution and Planning who was a national Government official. Minerals are a national Government asset. This is something that should be revisited. I do not know how it should be done, but I believe that the governors should not be involved at this level."
