    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank the two patriotic groups from Nandi County; the Nandi County Chamber of Commerce and the Nandi County Civil Society Network for their vigilance. Although the responsibility of oversight on what is happening in counties is vested in the county assemblies, and to some extent the Senate, it is absolutely important that members of public participate in this oversight exercise. They should be vigilant because we want devolution to work. We will not entrust this job to the county assemblies alone. When they see things like the ones they have observed, it is important that they bring it to the Floor of this House. The issues raised are very grave because they involve corruption, mismanagement of public funds and abuse of office. Mr. Speaker, Sir, we ask that you refer this matter to the relevant Committees as required by our Standing Orders so that they can expedite the investigations and unearth the truth. If this is happening, it has to be stopped. I support."
