    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to remind the Senate that power to impeach by the Senate is not constitutional; it is statutory. Therefore, if we do not exercise it appropriately and in a manner that will instill confidence in the people of Kenya, these powers may go to another institution altogether. This is an example where the people may see the Senate as not using its powers correctly in accordance with our own Standing Orders. This Committee has usurped the role of the Senate. It has gone beyond its mandate. Standing Order No.68 (1) (a) says:- The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate."
