I thank the Chair for the long response but the Government has never been effective in forestalling the conflicts in these areas or even dealing with existing ones like the ongoing one between the Meru and Isiolo people. Even if you deploy thousands of forces, they have never been efficient. How is the Government investing in the long-term traditional engagement with the local communities? The longer they engage on peaceful settlement, the better. How is the Government engaging directly with the local communities and their leadership to create a long-term solution?"
