    "content": "Hon. Speaker, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 83 on the misinformation that may have been conveyed by people outside there. I actually sat through the Committee of the whole House when we passed the amendments during the Third Reading of the Companies Bill, which is now the Companies Act. It is true that the amendment came from the Floor and it was passed in accordance with the Standing Orders and the Constitution. Although some of us vigorously opposed it, we were outnumbered by our colleagues, which is the normal business of this House. So, there was nothing which was sneaked in. We even gave the Executive power to bring into operation the particular sections of the Act which they may think are desirable to them. So, I do not know why they are not using that power not to bring into operation the sections which they do not like. They do not need to shout because Parliament has already performed its function. They can wait until after six months and then come back to persuade us otherwise."
