(8) The Chief Justice may make Rules to regulate procedures relating to contempt of court. We are seeking to allow the court to punish for contempt of court and to harmonise the definition of “contempt of court” with the definitions as contained in the High Court (Organization and Administration) Bill and also the Court of Appeal (Organization and Administration) Bill. We are just seeking to synchronise the three Bills because we are dealing with courts, so that we do not have different standards of contempt."
