Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 26 of the Bill be amended— (a) in sub-clause (1) by deleting the word “any” appearing immediately after the word “In” and substituting therefor the word “civil” (b) in sub-clause (4) by deleting the word “off” appearing immediately after the word “stay”. Clause 26 deals with alternative dispute resolution. We seek to make it clear that alternative dispute resolution is only with respect to civil matters and not criminal matters. It was not drafted clearly."
