"content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I wish to also join my colleagues in congratulating Sen. Kembi-Gitura for moving this Motion of Adjournment. This country is privileged to have been visited by dignitaries, one of whom is Pope Francis. Such dignitaries carry a message. I am sure that the Pope will deliver a message to us. I am sure that one of the messages that he will deliver is to do with the environment. I have heard him before making comments about the preservation of the environment. This is, perhaps, one of the very important things that we should constantly be reminded about. We should conserve the environment so that we continue to stay in the “Garden of Eden.” I welcome the Pope to this country which has many Catholics. We also appreciate the contribution that the Catholic Church has made in this country, particularly in terms of developing education institutions. Most Kenyans in leadership positions have gone through such institutions. The point of convergence at the moment is to welcome the Pope and pray together with him. Those who pray together shall be comforted, healed and will prosper. I support the Motion of Adjournment and urge all Kenyans, irrespective of their faith to welcome the Pope and share together until he leaves the country."
