"content": "It is high time that hon. Members, especially the young lawyers like Mr. Mungatana and Mr. Wamalwa, to take the issue of Kenya School of Law seriously. It has become a reserve of the rich. You cannot imagine to access the Kenya School of Law after you graduate. To be admitted to the Bar, you have to go the Kenya School of Law and every semester, a student must pay Kshs90,000. That means that every year, they pay Kshs180,000 . Therefore, they will do it for two years. This is discrimination of the highest order. It is against the Constitution and I wonder what Mrs. Odhiambo-Mabona is doing to interpret that. There is no way we can say that students from poor families will ever access courts because they are being discriminated against. This Parliament must decide on this issue because, if it continues, it means that those children from poor families will never become lawyers in this country. It is not only in the Kenya School of Law. It is also in other disciplines in this country. It is high time the curriculum of this country is reviewed to make sure that those issues are settled once and for all."
