    "content": "Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I request adjournment of the House on a definite matter of urgent national importance pursuant to Standing Order No.33(1). I seek leave to move the adjournment of the House for the purpose of discussing the ongoing crisis in the education sector regarding especially, school fees for Form One students, who are being charged as high as Kshs120,000 in some schools. In the recent past, there has been unwarranted upward review of school fees by school boards of management, raising school fees to as high as Kshs120,000 annually. It is deeply disturbing that many parents and guardians are now unable to afford the high secondary school fees, causing many deserving students to fail to join secondary schools. This is an issue in many constituencies, as we have heard from hon. Members. I, therefore, seek the adjournment of the House to discuss the ongoing crisis in the education sector with particular emphasis on the school fees for students joining Form One. Thank you, hon.
