"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I only quoted the Book of Lamentations written by Prophet Jeremiah and I have urged the Ministry of Education not to rewrite the Book of Lamentations. If we make education the preserve of the rich - which is what we are doing by charging those exorbitant fees - we are actually planning the destruction of our country. This is a matter that we cannot be passive to. This is a matter that affects all of us. Each one of us in the 290 constituencies is affected and I encourage the leadership of the Ministry of Education to take it seriously. Bring your budget here! Kshs.11 billion is nothing compared to Kshs2 trillion. We will approve it and all our children will go to school."
