    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker for giving me this chance to contribute. I want to thank the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade. I urge this House to adopt this report about WTO, so that we can ratify it. I also want to make a point that even the National Assembly should be given a role to play in negotiating those trade pacts instead of only ratifying them. There are benefits that will be derived from this agreement because global merchandise expos are estimated to increase between USD750 million to USD1 trillion per annum. Exports from developing countries are expected to increase by between USDI70 and USD730 billion per annum because this ratification will make trade easier. The developing countries and the lowest developing countries will benefit more because they derive their revenues from taxation.
