Speaker, on behalf of the Joint Departmental Committees on Administration & National Security, and Labour and Social Welfare, and pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order No.199(6), it is my pleasant privilege and honour to present to the House the Report of the Committee on the vetting of Mrs. Lilian Omollo as the Principal Secretary, State Department for Youth and Public Service. I co-chaired the vetting session with my able friend, Hon. Were. At the outset, I just want to inform the House that Mrs. Lilian Omollo is an accomplished professional who has attended courses in several universities and also worked in several capacities. First, in terms of education background, this lady holds a Master’s Degree in Education and a major in Entrepreneurship Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in United States of America (USA). He also has a Bachelor of Education from Kenyatta University. In terms of professional experience, she has worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She has also worked with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in the Northern part of this country. I guess she has also worked in Southern Sudan. The Nominee has also worked for the Southern Sudan Council for churches. She has been an officer with the UNDP.
