Therefore, he is a man that we unreservedly endorse because he truly deserves to get this position. Secondly, he is going to work with another individual who has grown through the system. Dr. Mailu has served in various sections of the Health Department. He has had admirable leadership within premier health providers in this country. Therefore, Dr. Cleopa Mailu and Dr. Muraguri are going to be a dynamic duo working together to synergise the skills they have so far obtained and to dedicate their professional skills to improve the health sector in this country. I conclude by noting that my constituency, Mukurwe-ini, has had only one full Cabinet Secretary (CS) since independence. Now, I am happy and very proud that we are recording the first PS since Kenya became independent. Dr. Muraguri is the first PS from the famous Mukurweini Constituency. He is a proud constituent of the people of Mukurweini. We are very happy and excited. I want to confirm that he has also been giving back to the community in a very elaborate manner, including his involvement in the Beyond Zero Campaign which is spearheaded by the First Lady. Hon. Speaker, there can never be a better Christmas gift to this country than Dr. Muraguri’s appointment. I strongly endorse and happily so, wish you all a happy and merry Christmas."
