"content": "Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me the opportunity to support this nominee for the appointment as the Principal Secretary for the Department of Correctional Services. This is a person I know very well. I knew him as a civil servant who has worked tirelessly. I also knew him when he was working for KARI in Mombasa and when he was promoted to head the Cotton Board. He did a wonderful job to bring the parastatal to the level where it is now recognised. So, I have no doubt at all about his capabilities, his hard work and serving the Department of Correctional Services. The Prisons Service has many farms. This is a person who has studied agriculture. He has a Degree in Agriculture and I know he is going to do a good job in improving the Prisons Service. The Prisons Service has many problems. With his ability, I know he is going to do a wonderful job. I plead with my colleagues to approve him as a Principal Secretary (PS)."
