"content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this chance. At the outset, I confirm that I followed the whole process of nomination to this point where the Committee has given its findings and recommendations. In terms of professional qualifications, all these nominees merit. At first, I was rising on a point of order because everybody in this House was in support of their tribe, region or religion. Some of us were hurting inside because when I look at this Motion, I wonder! I join others who will say that in that boardroom, they will not even speak English or Kiswahili, but in their mother tongue. When I listen to our President talking about unity and defeating tribalism, I do not think it is in tandem with this. It pains me. When I look at a whole page and see four nominees who are from the same region, same language and same tribe, I think about my sister Ngilu, Nduva Muli, Matemu, Grace Kaindi. They are at home. There is no way I can celebrate this list. Sometimes, I wish the President could preach wine and not give water."
