    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I would like to thank the President and the Deputy President for considering regional balance. Some Members are complaining that regional balance was not considered but the marginalized groups in this country, including the Pokot, are now “eating” the fruits of Independence. One of my colleagues complained that the Turkana have been left out but we have the Speaker of the Senate from Turkana flying the national flag. All the other years, the marginalised communities could not be recognized. We have now benefited as people from West Pokot. It was a closed district for a long time. When people talk of Masters Degrees and PhDs, we also have them. We have the best doctor in Kenya called Dr. Parklea but this nation has not seen anything in him. But things are now changing. The Cabinet Secretaries and the Principal Secretaries should know that the positions they have been nominated for appointment were previously held by other people, and that they can lose these positions if they will not be sincere as they discharge their duties.
