    "content": "done in the last Session. You have clearly enumerated what we achieved. There are quite a number of Bills and Motions. But I want to echo the words of Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale that it is one thing to pass these Bills and Motions, and another thing for them to really benefit the people in the counties and the Republic. That brings us to the issue of implementation of legislation and the Motions that we pass. In future, as you enumerate to us what we have achieved, it is also important for us to know the status of the implementation of the same. You also stated to us the Statements that had been sought had lapsed and yet, before the close of last Session, there are a number of Statements that were put off to the first and the second sitting under your direction. I just want to get your guidance on that particular aspect. I want to assure Sen. Billow that it is my democratic right to run for any seat that I want in the Republic. Although a section of the Press had indicated that I am one of those who are gunning for gubernatorial seat in Vihiga County, I want to make it very categorical that I am here in the Senate to stay. Come the next elections, I will defend my seat as the Senator for Vihiga to ensure that my people benefit from devolution. Thank you."
