He can stick to a position, but when it comes to others, the argument is that you better leave as quickly as possible. Having said all that, there must be some sense and rhythm in what we are doing. When he told me that he wanted to serve in the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, I quickly said that I would retire my position so that he could serve in the Committee. I went to the two Whips and the leadership and he ended up in that Committee. Sen. Wako, since time is catching up with you, give up something also for the first time."
