Members, the Member for Saku had requested the Speaker – and the Speaker had agreed – that at 5.00 p.m., the House takes leave so that he moves an Adjournment Motion. Before we begin, let me do a few housekeeping tasks. The Speaker had pronounced himself on this but for avoidance of doubt; I would like to refer you to the Standing Orders on public access to the House and its Committees. In particular, I refer you to Standing Order No.252 as read together with Standing Order No.254. I will require members of the media to leave the Chamber. I ask the Serjeant-at-Arms to enforce my order and ensure that members of the media recess until the next meeting of the House."
