Temporary Deputy Speaker, may I conclude by pleading with this House that we have a rare and historic opportunity to finally fix what has ailed this key subsector of agriculture, the backbone of our economy ad infinitum . Let us seize this opportunity and not prescribe “Panadol”, a pain reliever, to cure an ailment that requires radical surgery. Let us undertake this radical surgery on this subsector that is ailing chronically. We will not do it through this kind of a joke of a Report. Therefore, I plead with this House not to approve this Report, so that this Committee can go back and do a better job. I oppose the Report."
