    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. From the outset, I wish to congratulate my colleague, Sen. (Dr.) Kuti, for bringing this important Bill to the House. All of us are aware about the seriousness of the level at which the cancer epidemic is ravaging our communities and country. It is good that this Bill is in this House so that we can address ourselves to some of the issues that appertain to this problem. Cancer cuts across communities, ethics, ethnic groups and all the boundaries. In fact, it is an international phenomenon that we must address from that level.
